Mr Robson, a Pupil Support Teacher from the High School, will be visiting Primary 7 on Monday.
The ‘Make it Grow’ project returns to Woodpark in Term 3. Each class will be given £10 and challenged to turn it into much more! Anything each class earns will be theirs to spend how they choose at the end.
This year we are staggering the project to avoid all classes selling products at the same time.
A reminder to regularly check Homelink folders for letters and communication. Letters can be sent out on any day of the week. Thank you.
All the children now have their poems to learn for our Burns Day Celebration. Lots of children have already learned their poems off by heart – thank you!
If children want to be in with a shot of winning the top prize – keep practising!
Next week we are beginning our Talk for Writing journey in Woodpark. Your children will be arriving home with stories to learn. These stories will form the basis of their learning and will give them the tools to become successful creative writers and storytellers.
For more information on Talk for Writing, please visit the ‘Active Literacy’ section of our website and keep an eye out for updates in the near future!
Next week sees the start of ‘Big Topics’ at Woodpark…make sure to ask your child about everything they are learning!
