Dear Parents/Carers
I write to share with you that Mr French has been successfully seconded as Literacy Development Officer to South Lanarkshire Council. This post will continue for up to 18 months.
It is anticipated that Mr French will take up this post after the Christmas break. Miss Wood will be the P7 teacher for the remainder of this school session.
I am sure that you join with us in congratulating Mr French on his appointment and whilst he will be much missed at Woodpark, we wish him every success.
Yours sincerely,
Debbie MacKenna
Head Teacher

Your child will have a form for the Christmas Lunch in their homelink today. These photocopied slips have a fill in section at the bottom! If your child wants a Christmas Lunch on the day (Wednesday 14th December), please fill in the form and return it in their homelink ASAP.
Please also note that the ‘normal’ menu will not be available on the above date.
Click here to see what the form in your child’s homelink looks like!
The school and nursery will be closed tomorrow (24/11) for the planned industrial action. We will re-open on Friday as normal.
A reminder to all parents/carers that the school changing rooms are back in use. Children should therefore not be coming to school in PE clothes.
All children should come to school in uniform every day. A PE kit to change into should be in their bag on their designated PE days.
Children are also not allowed to stay in their PE kit and must change back into uniform before going home.
Primary 7 recorded episode 3 of ‘A View from the Wood’ while in Lockerbie!
The Poppy Appeal starts in Woodpark today. Poppies will be on sale all week with a suggested minimum donation of 20p. All proceeds go to the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
We have just left Lockerbie and we will be home at approximately 2:30pm. The bus will reverse into the car park and the children will come into the gym hall via the fire doors.
Once they have double-checked they have all their belongings, parents/carers are free to take them home!
