The annual Highland Games celebration is fast approaching and Woodpark Primary will once again be entering!

If your child wants to take part then could you please fill in the yellow return slip sent home in bags on Monday along with the £10 for costumes etc.

A big thanks to the P.T.A for all their hard work organising our Highland Games procession.  The children all looked brilliant and a good time was had by all.

Thanks too to all the parents who stayed and helped by walking alongside the children.

Please remember that if you want your child to take part in our Highland Games Procession, you must return the slip with £10 as soon as possible. If you’ve lost the slip just contact the school office.

Christmas Fayre reminder!

A reminder that this year’s Fayre will take place tomorrow (2/12/15) from 4pm – 7pm

Attractions include Tombola, a baking stall, Christmas Crafts, Face Painting, Santa’s Grotto, Guess the Teddy’s Birthday, hundreds of raffles plus lots of lovely stalls selling Christmas gifts.

Tickets for adults are £2 which includes tea/coffee and a biscuit; tickets for children are £1.

Parent Council Update

It was decided at the meeting on 1st September that future meetings will be held on a Wednesday evening (see Annual Planner for dates).

The recent Bags 2 School uplift raised £184.40. Thank you to everyone who handed in bags.

Parent Council Meeting

Our Parent Council meets in the school tomorrow (1st September) at 6:30pm. Please come along and support this group and find out what they do. A warm welcome is extended to all parents and carers.

Lesmahagow Highland Games

Woodpark Primary won 1st prize for their entry in Saturday’s Highland Games procession. They really proved they were “Out of This World” with their amazing space costumes and decorated float.

A huge thank you is due to our Parent Council for organising this fantastic event.

Parent Council Update

The recent Games Disco was a great success. Everyone who came along had a fantastic time and the event raised approximately £140.00.

The recent Bags 2 School uplifts made £184.04 for school funds.

Thank you to everyone who helped out at the Games Disco and to those who had a “clear out” to raise funds for our school.

Remember the Parent Council have organised a school entry for the Highland Games parade. Please come along and support your Parent Council.
