This year’s Book Bug Session are as follows –
Primary 1 – 20th (Tue) from 3pm – 4:30pm
Primary 2 – 22nd (Thu) from 3pm – 4:30pm
Primary 3 – 27th (Tue) from 3pm – 4:15pm.
These sessions are really worthwhile and give some great ideas for supporting your child’s learning at home!
This year the Woodpark Open Day and Evening has changed slightly!
The school will be open to parents and carers from 1:30pm until 2:45pm. You are invited to come in and see your child working and see the kinds of things that go on in their class.
At 3pm Mr French will be speaking in the gym hall about the new reading programme introduced this year. It is a big change for the school and this talk will explain these new changes.
Following this Mr French will be giving another Online Safety talk. Even if you came last year we would urge you to come again – A LOT has changed!
At 6pm Mrs Duncan will be giving a talk to the parents of children going to the Lockerbie Manor trip in October. This will take place in the Primary 7 classroom.
From 6-8pm the school will be open for parents and carers who could not make the afternoon session to come in, speak to the teachers and get a flavour of what their child will be learning this year!
The annual Woodpark Showcase event will take place on Tuesday 27th March from 1:30pm-2:45pm. Parents and carers are welcome to attend to see everything your children have been doing in class this year!
This year’s Woodpark Christmas Fair is only a week away!
This year there will be a variety of gift stalls, games and home baking for sale.
The children are working hard to make their own Christmas crafts which will also be available on the night.
The fayre begins at 4pm in the gym hall and is open until 7pm.

The Woodpark open afternoon this year will take place on Thursday 12th October.
The afternoon session will run from 1:30 – 2:45.
The evening session will run from 6-8pm.
