Homework Workshop

Please come along to our Homework Workshop on Thursday 27th August from 6pm to 7pm. Each teacher will explain the type of homework your child will be issued with. There will be a chance to visit more than one class as the sessions will run every 15 minutes (6:00pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm and 6:45pm)

P5-7 Football Club

A huge thank  you to Mr. White and Mr. Cowan for volunteering to run our After-School Football Club on Fridays at 3pm. Please sign and return a permission slip if you wish your child to come along. This club starts on Friday 28th August.

Annual Data Checks

Please check your child’s bag today for our Annual Data Check Envelope. Please update all information required and sign and return these forms as soon as possible. Thank you.

Please return the slip attached to our August newsletter to let us know if you no longer require a paper copy. You are now able to access all our newsletters via the Newsletters heading at the top of the Home page.

Cancer Research Fundraising

Woodpark Pupils took part in the Race for Life to raise funds for Cancer Research. We also had a Strawberry Tea when children dressed in red and enjoyed some strawberries. We managed to raise an amazing £1054.83 for Cancer Research. A huge thank you to the children and to everyone who sponsored them.

Lesmahagow Highland Games

Woodpark Primary won 1st prize for their entry in Saturday’s Highland Games procession. They really proved they were “Out of This World” with their amazing space costumes and decorated float.

A huge thank you is due to our Parent Council for organising this fantastic event.

Awards for All – Lottery Funding

Woodpark Primary School has received a grant of £7939.00 from Awards for All Scotland to install a range of outdoor play equipment in our school grounds. This grant covers 75% of the total cost of the project and we are in the process of seeking the other 25% which is £2646.00 to be able to carry out the work required.

Go Noodle Goes Home

Our school has been “Go Noodling” since MAD week and everybody loves Go Noodle. Go Noodle is helping children stay active over the summer by sharing Go Noodle with parents. It’s free and great fun and it launches on 29th June. To join, go to GoNoodle.com and sign up for a free parent account.
