October Holidays
The school will close at 3pm on 12th October for the October week and reopen on the 22nd October.
Dress Down Day
This Friday (5/10) will be a dress down day. Children taking part should bring £1 and this will go to things like bus costs for trips throughout the year.
Important Lockerbie Information
Mrs Duncan will be holding a final information evening for Lockerbie at 6pm tomorrow (4/10) in the Primary 7 classroom.
Children going on the trip should be at the school on Monday for 12:30pm. The bus will leave at 1:30pm.
Children not going on the trip should come to school as normal.
Open Day and Evening
This year the Woodpark Open Day and Evening has changed slightly!
The school will be open to parents and carers from 1:30pm until 2:45pm. You are invited to come in and see your child working and see the kinds of things that go on in their class.
At 3pm Mr French will be speaking in the gym hall about the new reading programme introduced this year. It is a big change for the school and this talk will explain these new changes.
Following this Mr French will be giving another Online Safety talk. Even if you came last year we would urge you to come again – A LOT has changed!
At 6pm Mrs Duncan will be giving a talk to the parents of children going to the Lockerbie Manor trip in October. This will take place in the Primary 7 classroom.
From 6-8pm the school will be open for parents and carers who could not make the afternoon session to come in, speak to the teachers and get a flavour of what their child will be learning this year!
Interim reports
Interim reports will be coming home next week (WB:1/10). Please keep an eye out for your child’s report in their Homelink folder.
October Newsletter
There is a LOT of important information in this month’s Newsletter!
Cashless payments
You will find a letter in your child’s homelink about ParentPay. The letter contains important information about pre-ordering milk for your child’s lunch.
It also explains how to pay for any ‘Xmas for Schools’ (child designed Christmas cards etc) that you may wish to buy. As we are now a ‘cashless’ school you will find an option to pay for this and other things as they emerge through ParentPay.

September Weekend
A reminder that the school will be closed for the September weekend this Friday (20/9) and the following Monday (24/9).
School closes at 3pm as normal tomorrow.
Lockerbie Manor information evening
