Bobby Madden visits Woodpark!

Scottish football referee Bobby Madden came to the school to meet with the football team this week. They asked great questions, got some autographs and were lucky enough to have him referee a game! The boys had a great time, check our twitter feed for pictures! A big thank you to Mr Wylie from the boys football team for organising this!

PTA Christmas Fayre

Woodpark’s annual Christmas Fayre will be held in the school tomorrow evening from 4-6pm. Any home baking would be greatly appreciated.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Book Week Scotland

This year’s theme is ‘blether’ and the importance of talking to others. Each day the children are coming home with a question to blether to you about! Monday’s blether question is… ‘Go home and ask an adult to tell you all about a family member or friend you don’t know much about’ …so they will be coming ready for a blether! Thank you in advance for supporting.

The Big Book Swap

Book Week Scotland begins tomorrow in Woodpark! A reminder that during playtime children will be able to go to the Big Book Swap. They are allowed to bring in any books and swap them for any new books they like the look of – simple! We already have an excellent collection of books in the Book Swap, but would really appreciate any books people are able to donate. This is a great way of encouraging the children to enjoy reading and have books in their lives. Books can either be sent in school bags or can be handed into the office if they are too heavy! Thank you for your support as always.

Book Week Scotland

Next week the children will be taking part in the whole week of activities to celebrate Book Week Scotland. Please check your child’s homelink for a letter explaining some of the events including the return of our ‘Get Caught Reading’ game! To submit a photo of your child reading in a weird and wonderful place, please click the yellow Book Week Scotland image on the home page of the website!
