Resource pick up

If you did not manage to collect your child’s resource pack today, you can do so from the school office between 9:30-12pm tomorrow (Fri 1st May). Thank you to all parents who collected resource packs and brought back books today, we really appreciate your continued support.

New resource collection – 30th April

This week we have been preparing more resources to support home learning in the weeks ahead.  Please see the message that your child’s teacher has put on their Google Classroom page which advises what should be returned to school.  We will also send a copy of these messages out via the app shortly. When you come to the school please do not enter the glass ‘bubble’ at the main door until the person in front of you has left and we would ask you to queue towards the playground at 2 metres distance from others. We will work through classes as quickly as we can. Parents with children in various classes will be given all class packs at the one time. Times to pick up resources: Primary 7        – 9:30am – 10am Primary 6        – 10:30am – 11am Primary 5        – 11am – 11:30am Primary 4        – 11:30am – 12pm Primary 3        – 12pm – 12:30pm Primary 2        – 12:30pm – 1pm Primary 1/2     – 1pm – 1:30pm Primary 1        – 1:30pm – 2pm Thank you all so very much for all your hard work, motivating the children to log in to Google Classrooms each day. Teachers are working hard to provide a range of core learning and wider interest activities to support home learning and keep the children’s interest up.  We know this is a challenging time for everybody but we really appreciate your continued support.  If you have not yet been able to log in to Google Classrooms please get in touch so we can help you, either by phoning the school office on 01555 892251 or email wp@glow.sch.uk Take care everyone.

A message from Mrs MacKenna

We hope that everyone is staying well and safe and that you all managed to enjoy some of this sunny weather during the Spring holidays. We will continue to provide a range of learning activities for children to take part in via Google Classrooms and the class pages on the school website during this period of lockdown.  It has been lovely to see so many of the children joining in.  If you have any problems logging in  please send an email to wp@glow.sch.uk and we will help you as soon as possible.   We will prepare more resource packs next week to help support learning at home this term and will send out an alert and app message to let you know when they are ready. Please when collecting new packs could old reading books be returned to us, thank you.  In the meantime look after yourselves and stay safe.

There is a central application process for hubs managed by Education Resources. Eligibility criteria will be detailed in the application form. Application forms for Early Years and school aged children will go live via the council website and twitter this evening. A link to the form can be found below. The initial deadline for parental returns is 9am on Wed 25th March 2020. HQ will manage this process including notifying parents directly. Applications received thereafter will be allocated spaces on the basis of availability. https://forms.gle/jbYuYd5BLaBxE2uc7
