The Woodpark Burns Day celebrations were a huge success!
We would like to thank you all for helping your children to learn all those tricky lines.
We would also like to thank Mr Tommy Johnstone for delivering the ‘Address tae a Haggis’ and helping the judges to come to their decision.
Mr Johnstone commented on the fantastic recitals of the various poems and songs and how confident and entertaining the children were. He also commented on the superb way the children conducted themselves throughout the afternoon and he would love to come back to Woodpark!
The P7 transition day tomorrow (31/1) is going ahead as planned despite the weather warning. Please keep checking the website for updates.
The Multi-sports club for Primary 1 and 2 begins tomorrow (25th Jan) and runs for 8 weeks until 15th March.
Places were limited and were offered on a first come first serve basis. If your child got a place they should have a note in their homelink. If your child did not get a place they are on a list to get a place should any child drop out.
Please check if your child has a place – if they do they must be picked up from the main entrance at 4pm.
A reminder that the Woodpark Burns Day celebrations take place tomorrow (25th Jan) – so get practising those poems and get ready to try some haggis!
This Friday will be a non-uniform day. The children are encouraged to wear something Scottish if possible – although this is not essential!
If the children would like to dress down they should bring £1.
Thanks as always for your support!
