Welcome to Saint Mary’s Primary School and Nursery Centre, Lanark.
Some may already be familiar with our school and nursery, others we welcome for the first time. I hope that this website provides you with the information you require to learn about our school community.
As parents, you have the right to expect that your child will receive the highest quality of education in a climate where they are safe, valued and treated with dignity and respect.
The staff at St Mary’s are committed to ensuring that every child is happy and secure in school and this principle underlines our programmes for learning and teaching and all our activities.
The positive behaviour and attitude of pupils, the support of parents and the dedication of staff, all help to create a caring, active Christian community where children can develop to their full potential in stimulating surroundings.
We strive to ensure that our pupils have opportunities to maximise their achievement and attainment, endeavouring to develop children into mature, health conscious and well-adjusted young people who are fully equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to successfully continue their education within the secondary sector and beyond.
Our Home, School and Church partnership is of great importance. Working together and communicating openly ensures best value for all. Please keep in touch with our school through our newsletter, school app, Twitter and our Parent Council.
We look forward to working in partnership with you.
