Return to School – 22.2.21

We survived day 1!

Well done to all of our pupils, parents and staff on surviving day one of #onlinelearning It was so lovely to see and hear from many of our pupils about their holidays as well as seeing what you have been learning today! Keep up the great work everyone.  See you all tomorrow for day 2!

Welcome back!

Staff are looking forward to meeting back up with all pupils online tomorrow morning between 10am and 11am when we start our home learning together for the next few weeks.

Parents should support their child to communicate at some point during that time with the class teacher and anyone facing any issues in doing so should contact the school where they will be given additional support as required. We looking forward to hearing from all our pupils tomorrow

Home Learning Information

Learning packs have been distributed to all children. These contain work for the 3 weeks of planned home learning.
Every child should engage on Google Classroom every day, where the class teacher will be available to support the learning. A register will be taken daily and families will be called with an offer of support if they were not engaging that day.
All learning materials, workbooks and jotters should be handed in on our return to school as this is evidence of the work done and progress made while learning at home.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are aware that following yesterday’s announcement by the Scottish Government regarding the new restrictions coming into place in the next few weeks, that some of our families may be worried and anxious about the time ahead. Please make sure that you know that your child(ren) and your family’s safety and welfare remain our number one priority, particularly at this difficult time.

South Lanarkshire Council are currently awaiting further details from the Scottish Government regarding yesterday’s announcement, and importantly what this means for educational establishments in January. Once we are provided with an update from South Lanarkshire Council about what these new restrictions entail, we will let all staff, parents, children and young people know as soon as possible.

As we will maybe not see many of our pupils at school on Monday and Tuesday this week, can we take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and patience during this unprecedented time. We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and healthy New Year.

Stay safe and take care.
