TEDx Glasgow

TEDx Glasgow
Have your say on the TEDx red carpet “The Future we Choose”
Clean energy solutions, sustainable food choices, recycling clothing, wearing clothes to last, walk and cycle more, reuse items for other purposes… there’s so many ways you can help tackle this climate crisis.

You have 60 seconds to stand on the red carpet and give your own TEDx talk 🎥🎞

TEDx talks with children:

Ask children to share their ‘big idea worth doing’ in a TEDx style:
what’s the idea?
Is it an action, a way of thinking differently, a product or app…?
who/what will it help & how
Is it for people, animals, gardens, food? Who could use it?
give an inspiring feeling
Why do you care? Does something or someone inspire you?
Example:
My name is Annie and I am inspired by the way counties in Africa have stopped using plastic bags.
My big idea is to design a simple clip for reusable bags I already have to attach to my school bag so I don’t forget to take them when I go shopping.
It’ll mean less new bags get used and less end up on the ocean. I’m excited about a future that has less plastic and no more plastic bags being used.
Tips:
Keep it 60 seconds long
Record on mobile
Uploaded to school Twitter and tag @TEDxGlasgow on twitter as well as school/ person
Use the title of the talk on twitter post
Use mic or Bluetooth mic/earphones for good audio
Pictures are welcome of people doing it
TEDxGlasgow will review the videos and select anyone who inspires them!
