📚⚙️ Engineering Through Stories – RAiSE Resources
RAiSE has developed a range of engaging engineering resources using familiar texts such as Rosie Revere, Engineer and Ada Twist, Scientist.
Using Rosie Revere, Engineer as a context, these resources support learning across Health and Wellbeing, exploring themes such as resilience, growth mindset, self-esteem and perseverance. They also promote key Engineering Habits of Mind, including creative thinking, problem finding and solving, and improving and adapting.
The suggested activities have a strong engineering focus and link to the Technologies curriculum, particularly within Craft, Design, Engineering and Graphics. Learners are supported to:
- Design and construct models or products
- Explore and select materials
- Apply engineering thinking in practical contexts
These learning experiences also provide valuable opportunities to develop literacy, numeracy and science skills, making them ideal for interdisciplinary learning.
