WATCH: Interview with Dr Ewan Gibbs: Historian

Interview carried out by Joshua Murphy and Plum Mckechnie.

We had the opportunity to speak to Dr Ewan Gibbs yesterday, to ask for his take on the climate emergency and all that has been happening across the COP26 event so far.

WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW HERE:

Gibbs started at Glasgow University in 2020, where he has been teaching students about social history (how different people lived throughout history) and global economics (how the world deals with money).

We asked Dr Gibbs a number of questions surrounding the climate emergency including:

  • What impact the Industrial Revolution had on the climate emergency?
  • How would we go about creating a new eco-friendly industrial revolution?
  • What more can Scotland do?
  • How do you think the climate crisis responsibility should be distributed?

We would like to thank Dr Gibbs for his time and a very informative interview.
