WATCH: Interview With Dame Rachel de Souza DBE – Children’s Commissioner For England

The Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza DBE, was interviewed following her appearance as a guest at the Generation Earthshot event as part of the COP26 Green Zone.
Dame de Souza has served in the role of Children’s Commissioner for England since March 2021. Her inital actions in this role led to a survey of over 500,000 young people being conducted: this led to the largest survey response of its type recorded.
Dame de Souza is keen to see more collaborative action from youth workers and other Children’s Commissioners. Observing the rise of “global voices” is of particular interest to the Dame, this stands to reinforce her children first attitude.
