Primary Health and Wellbeing Week🏃‍♂️🤸‍♀️😁

Welcome to Health and Wellbeing week for Early Years to P6 bairns!

Following feedback from Little Lights Week, we decided to have Health and Wellbeing week which also includes a Sports Day seeing as we missed Sports Day last week – which was beautiful and sunny! Following feedback from Little Lights week we have included some extra activities and for more information and ideas please look at the Health and Wellbeing Blog.

There are 4 areas with at least 4 activities to complete in each

  • Sports Week
  • Food and Health
  • Social and Emotional Health
  • Nature Nudge

Again, activities are to be completed as a family and please feel free to email photos to your teachers for us to put on the blog. There is no set day for Sports Day so check the forecast for the week. Early Years pupil can stick with their activities or join in with the Primary activities and the same applies for Primary – I bet some bairns would love to get stuck into messy play!

Paper packs of printouts are available in the Primary porch for collection otherwise click on the links below for activities.

Have fun and do what you can 😊

Troo Peerie Eyes

  • What is your favourite thing in nature-plants, flowers, mini beasts, birds, wildlife etc. Choose something you would like to tell us all about just like the bairns in the film clips.

You could find out interesting information, draw, sketch, write important facts or even make a short video clip to share with us .Remember to observe things closely and to tell us why you have chosen that thing.

  • How Does Nature Make you Feel?

After spending some time outdoors-maybe at the shore, on the daily mile, in the garden or sitting out in the sun write down your thoughts or feelings about the things in nature that you noticed. Use your senses listen carefully and look closely. What do you hear, see and feel .It might be the sound of the birds or the waves on the shore.

You could write it as a short poem or as a list.
