We have been very busy designing our own rockets and making a picture for them to go on so it looks like they are in space. Once we had finished our pictures and glued our rockets on we thought about things associated with space and created acrostic poems. We worked really hard and came up with some fantastic poems so we thought you should see some of them!

Harry’s model plane
Harry brought in his model plane he made at home to show the class today. He had been looking at one of the books from our Library during ERIC in the mornings and saw pictures of differnet types of planes. He had mentioned wanting to make one and then received a kit to make one from Santa at the weekend.
Science
We have been learning about friction with Mrs Spowart. We carried out an experiment, using our shoes, and discovered that the more friction there is, the more you need to pull to make something move. In this case, our shoes! We learnt that there are two types of friction. The friction between two things that aren’t moving is called ‘Static Friction’ and the friction between two moving objects is called ‘Dynamic Friction’.
