Miss Nicholson’s Accordion

Miss Nicholson took in her accordion for us to see today. She let us have a go and even played a couple of tunes for us. We really enjoyed this and clapped for her. Some of us had never seen one before so we were excited to have a go ourselves. We asked to have another shot at golden time and primary 6 even came to see what the noise was about and had a go. We know where the ‘C’ button is on the bass as it feels funny. The accordion can make funny noises and can be very loud!

Thank you for leaving a comment on our class page in New Zealand. We have just started a two week break and so our students are going to be back shortly – we love getting comments and we love hearing about different places around the world. Hearing from the Shetland Islands is an amazing thing – we love getting feedback from different places around the world. I am not sure if you know much about New Zealand or South Taranaki. We are a class of Y5/6 students at a School of 200 in a rural location – we have 90% of our students involved in the Dairy Industry which is nearly all milking cows. Although we are isolated (were an hour away from a semi-major city) and we don’t have any shops near our school we have 1:1 iPads at our school and lots of technology. We have student blogs and a class page. If we can help with anything please let us know we’d love to collaborate or stay in touch.
