Class band

Hi there I’m Ellen and this is our blog today I will be talking about our class band, called 6A Shockwave.

First we will start with the members and what they do:

Guitars-Lisa, Ben, Kayla

Keyboard-Vaila

Drums-Charlie

Bass-Miss Mainland,Nula

Singers-Isla, Libby, Ellen

Every week in class band we do our take on Elvis Presley’s song jailhouse rock. The singers always go to a private area where they practice so its more quiet while the people who play instruments are in a big open space where they can play their instruments.

Thank you for reading my post and who knows you might see us preforming one day!

Our Class Novel

We are reading The Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. So far we have read the first book and we are now on the Second book. The first one we read was called “The Bad Beginning” and the second is called “The Reptile Room”.

Klaus, Sunny and Violet Baudelaire had very bad luck in the book and the film because their Mum and Dad perish in a terrible fire and they have to live with their horrible uncle, Count Olaf. He is very mean and the only thing he wants is the Baudelaire fortune (when their parents perished they left a massive pile of money for the children when they grow up).

Robbie and I have also seen the film version of the book and there are lots of similarities but also some differences. I think it is the most like the book out of all movie adaptations I have seen. I think the movie is better than the book because it is more interesting.

My favourite part of the first book is when the children have to make pasta for Count Olaf and his theatre troop. I liked it because it is the first time you meet his theatre troop and the characters like the hook-handed man are really weird.

The one we like the best is the second book, The Reptile Room.

Have you read any of the books? Comment below if you have!

The Day I Broke My Foot!

Hi I am Louise and I am gonna tell you about the worst day of my week…..

Day 1:

So I was in gym on wedensday and we were playing table tennis I dropped the ball so I  went for the ball, fell and landed on my foot.

Day 2:

I went to the hospital and got some x-rays I seen that I chipped my bone so I got it bandaged and got crutches (which are sooooo annoying.) I got pain killers. Then I got extra bandages and tape.

So that was the worst day of my week

Thank you comment if you have ever broken a bone before.

Bye!!!       🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

What about our Buddies?

Hello blog  I am Libby the only post I have done was about maths a few weeks ago. But now I am going to tel you a bit about our P1 buddies, and what we do!
We meet with our P1 buddies each week and do a range of activities with them. At first we were all a bit shy but now we are all very close with our buddies and love spending time together. Yesterday was our buddy christmas party which was lots of fun!
On Wednesday (tomorrow!) we will be eating our school christmas lunch with our buddies too.

Here are some of the P6 class speaking about the buddying project:
