Pantomime auditions

Hello, today we are going to be talking about our pantomime auditions so lets get started!

So on Wednesday everyone who wanted a speaking part had to audition. Me and Vaila auditioned together we did Little Witch Riding Hood. It is called that because we didn’t have a red blanket so we used a black blanket instead. We also changed what happened to, instead of a wolf we had a tiger (and Vaila was that) and we had Little Witch Riding Hood (and I was that) and at the start was kind of the same. I kicked the door down and the tiger smacked the apples on the floor and I found the real Grandma in the cupboard I also smacked the tiger. Apart from that it was all the same. Vaila did her solo at the end of the audition. Sunni did an audition too, she did The Cat In The Hat, a rhyming story by Dr Seuss and there was loads of other funny ones but we would be here a while if I said them all.

Police visit-Internet safety

Hello, Today we are going to talk about Internet safety so lets get to it.

On Tuesday the police came in to talk to us about internet safety. We got shown a video about a girl called Becky and she stuck a picture of her out side her house for everyone to see and left her front door wide open. Then someone called Simon walked in and started talking to her like she was his best friend and he lied about his age and he looked in her diary and took all her pictures but he did get caught in the end.

I hope you enjoyed this blog more blogs soon.

Until next time Bye!

Maths Homework – Term 4, Week 6 (22nd-25th May)

Hello 6A! Seeing as we have been focusing on fractions over the past few weeks, your homework task this week in maths is to complete some fractions games online, to practice applying some of the knowledge about fractions that you have learned.
You must try at least 2 (or more!) of the game to play, and try to play a little each day – even 10 minutes is perfect.

Dolphin Racing – practice comparing different fraction sizes http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/game/ma17frac-game-dolphin-racing-fractions

Fraction Matcher – matching written and picture fractions  : https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/fraction-matcher/latest/fraction-matcher_en.html

Equivalent Fractions – practice putting fractions on number line: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Flash.aspx?f=Fractionsv7

Improper and mixed fractions: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Flash.aspx?f=Fractionsv7

Fraction Beach – Practice writing fractions: http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/me3us/flash/lessonLauncher.html?lesson=lessons/10/m3_10_00_x.swf

Fraction Flags – make flags with the correct amount of coloured parts : http://flash.topmarks.co.uk/2509

Ordering Fractions from smallest to biggest : https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Flash.aspx?b=maths/fractions

Practice lots of fraction skills with these two excellent games:

TreeFrog –http://play.centerforgamescience.org/treefrog/

Creature Capture – http://play.centerforgamescience.org/creaturecapture/

Record your progress on your homework sheet, including which game you found more helpful any why, and what you used to help you complete the game.

For example:

“I played Fraction Matcher and Creature Capture. The first game helped me practice linking symbols like 1/2, 3/4 to a picture example of that fraction. I liked Creature Capture best though, because that let me practice a lot of different skills with fractions, and it was really fun! You could also play it multiplayer so I was able to play it with my friends too.”

Have fun! I look forward to hearing about your favourite games next week.

Leaflets 😽

This week in writing we wrote leaflets for the new Primary 1s that are going to come to sound school after summer. Some people wrote about the library, some people wrote about our school and lots more. We have a very creative class here in P6a so we had a ton of amazing leaflets! I wrote about our school. I wrote (and illustrated) about important people in our school. I also did a map thing of where to go, and get picked up at the end of the day. I enjoyed doing the leaflets, so tell me if you did in the comments below! See you! Byyyyeeeeeee!! 😝

ps. I made the featured image all by my self 😗

Come see what we have been learning!
