Term 2 October and November

Halloween!

We have had a very busy start to term 2!  Everyone came back to school after the holidays very excited about Halloween.  We really enjoyed reading Meg and Mog books.  Pop in to the lower corridor to see our own Mog cats!

Bonfire Night!

We learned all about keeping safe on bonfire night and decided it was a message we needed to share!  We made posters then used the iMovie app on our class ipad to make a short video to share the important things we had learned…click on this link to watch it!

Bonfire Night Video

We made beautiful bonfire artwork!  Pop in to see it in the lower corridor!

Light and Dark!

As part of our topic work this term we have been reading ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’.  We haver really been enjoying reading about Plop and his family as well as facts about barn owls.

As part of our work on light and dark we have been learning about the effect light and dark have on bulbs.  We planted Hyacinth bulbs, we hope they will be ready to take home for Christmas!

Fire Festival!

The preparations have started!  The 2024 Jarl asked use to take part in a shield designing competition.  There will be a winning shield from our school on his galley!
