P1-4 have been making these magnificent fluffy, fat owls with knackety knees who, with the bright silvery moon hopefully won’t be afraid of the dark.

Festivals and Celebrations
Our topic in P5-7 this term is World Religions: Festivals and Celebrations.
We are learning about different world religions and how they celebrate important events throughout the year.
Today we learned about the Hindu festival of Navaratri. We made our own Navaratri sticks.

Drama Club
As we are unable to put on our usual Pantomime this year, the bairns have decided to create a Drama Club!
They have written their own plays and are working together to direct and produce their creations.
The older pupils are supporting younger pupils to join in and everyone is having great fun.

Bonfire Night Craft
P5-7 had fun in class making fireworks pictures by ‘salt painting.’
They used glue to make the firework designs, covered them in salt and painted them bright colours.

Outdoor Maths
P5-7 are learning about negative numbers. They completed a scavenger hunt in groups working out the answers to questions and finding the matching clue to reveal a code. Great maths skills and team work! It was lovely to enjoy some winter sunshine too.

Salt Dough Space Art
P5-7 took advantage of the lovely weather this week and created space themed salt dough art. We had fun mixing up the dough and made lots of mess outside! We then used the dough to create our space art. Once everything was dry we painted it.

P5 – 7 Space Quiz
P5-7 worked together to make up quizzes all about Space. The class have learned so many interesting facts and enjoyed testing each other to see what we know.
Everyone showed their skills in using power point to create presentations. We had fun learning all about space. What a great way to end our topic – Well done P5-7!
