Sharing our Learning

The children have been sharing what they have been learning about in Health & Wellbeing with the education attainment advisor for Shetland, Mrs Hargreaves. They showed Mrs Hargreaves all the work they have done on Social and Emotional Wellbeing. They explained how they learned about mental health and emotion control through the characters from the ‘Inside Out’ film – Anger, Joy, Disgust, Sadness and Fear. The children have been learning about the purpose of their emotions and ways of managing them.

The children created these silhouettes to represent that we always have different emotions going around in our heads. The important thing is that we talk about them and learn how to manage them. We should never bottle up our emotions.
