Week 2 Da Voar Redd Up

Week 2 has been a busy one.  P12 have been learning about growing.  Theyve been planting seeds and writing about this.  They’ve also been doing lots of block play and enjoying creating hospitals and other things with the big blocks.
p34 are studying the human body.  They have been handling bones from different mammals. This was very interesting and exciting.  They’ve been practising co-ordinates in maths.
p56 have celebrated Eid with music, food and other traditions.  They have also written letters and worked on fractions and practical measure.   The p6s have completed their young leaders course and will soon become buddies for our new starts.
p67 have been doing Lego club.  They’ve created a maze and a floating boat.  They enjoyed the challenge.  They’ve also been junk modelling.
The whole school did the Redd up around Hamnavoe collecting 20 bags of rubbish.  Most of the bruck was plastic.  Just 1 bag less than last year!
