Term 4 Week 1

Welcome back!  With a fine week of weather our pupils have been doing lots of outdoor learning.  P56 have been experimenting with energy sources.  One of their experiments involved a balloon, mirror and the strength of the sun.  They’ve also been doing practical measurement and developing their curiosity around static energy.  P12 have been programming with a robot called Botley led by Eleanor our local STEM coordinator.  They’ve also started their project on growth and plants and class swimming lessons.  P67 have started their team projects for a STEM competition linked with renewable energy.  They have been writing poetry and created black out poems.  They have also learned about budgeting and have started enterprise teams for our coffee morning along with p56.
Finally we welcome Nicola Bowie as our new Play Worker.  P34 have been focused on cooperative card games and really enjoyed this.  We’ve had a really  positive first week.
