Wider Achievement

Learning takes place everywhere!

We encourage our pupils to recognise their wider achievement.  Wider achievement takes many forms from learning new skills to taking part in sports events.

The awards are split into Bronze, Silver and Gold.  We hope that all pupils at Hamnavoe Primary will receive their Bronze Award through school activities.  To achieve Silver and Gold they have to do a bit more.

We want parents to be involved in this project as their engagement in the award scheme will celebrate their child’s success.  Parents need to inform us of what their child has achieved beyond the school.

Certificates and Stickers will be awarded every Friday.  Everyone can gets a bronze through their community work in school.  Parents nominate pupils for Silver and Gold.  Children can also let us know.

Here are some examples of the type of activities that pupils can do to build towards an award.
