Instrumental Instruction

Instrumental Instruction Waiting List

Applications are invited for children who will be in Primary 5 or above from August 2020 who wish to receive Instrumental tuition. Please note that space for some instruments is very limited and that tuition therefore cannot be guaranteed. This is based on a first come, first served basis.

The proposed charge for Instrumental Instruction for the school year 2020/21, is 210.00 per instrument, per year and the charge for group instruction and remote instruction is proposed at £160.00 per instrument, per year. Where a child has never received instrumental instruction before, they will be entitled to the term in which they commence instruction free. There will be no charge for pupils who have an entitlement to free school meals and / or clothing grant (see criteria below), or if a pupil is in Secondary 4 or above and completing their SQA National Qualification in Music.

Parents have the option to pay instruction fees in yearly or monthly instalments. Pupils will receive a minimum of 30 lessons per session from August to July, each lasting 25 minutes. Where a pupil does not receive their minimum lessons as a result of staff absence, school closure or a school activity, an appropriate proportion of fees will be refunded at the end of the academic year.
