On Saturday
We went to Tesco. I bought a Silver car. We went to the pier. They went to have a dinner. I had sausage and chips. We went to the shopping centre. We went to Frankie Williamsons. We went back home.

Health and Safety About Candles
In science we learnt about the health and safety of candles, first we had to get these small boxes that where wooden and then we had to fill them with one layer of sand so if the tea light fell over the sand would put the fire out instantly but that didn’t happen anyway which was good.Then we got extra long matches then we had to strike them away for us so our clothes do catch fire so we got our match and struck it along the side of the match box which was on the rough side and we had to do it quick or it wouldn’t strike and then we held the flaming match near the wick and then the wick started to catch fire we left it for a couple of minutes and watched . Then we blew out the flame on the match and then we stuck it in the sand which cooled it down then we gently took the match out of the sand and to check witch was no longer flaming we just felt the tip of the match and it cold and then we put it in the bin because if it was warm we co couldn’t put it in the bin

place value
In maths we have been doing place value. You have to use the tens and units. The tens is for the tens column and the units is for the little numbers. Then you have to add them up. Place value is like adding but a bit different.

Best Yell Show
On Saturday It was the YELL SHOW! The Yell Show is an agricultural Show. I got candy floss, a jumper, a balloon and a lucky dip. My highlight of the whole day was getting a jumper with a kitten holding a heart and dark pink in the back round with a hood. Chesney (the horse that Laura was working with) he was champion horse he had a moustache and not real but fake uggboots. There was people playing instruments, singing songs and differnt acts. I am going to get my jumper at Chistmas. for my lunch I had 2 chicken kebabs and 1 burger and a bun. and after that I had 1 and a half candyfloss because Rosie did not like it and she did not like her chicken kebab and we all entered vegetable and our leeks came first.

The Fun Yell Show
On Saturday I went to the Yell Show. When we got there I wanted to do the lucky dip I wan a game of Loodo. Then I wanted to play hook a duck if you got a star on the botum you would win 50p back. Kerry was doing it. Me and Kerry went in the ball pool it was fun. After that I went to see the school veg when I went to see the veg I got a balloon with moshi monsters on it. Then I went in the hall so I could see my baking and stuff. I thought my baking was guite good and my pictures , pots and my fimo cat. After I went in the hall I had some thing to eat. I had a chicken kebab and a burger. Me and mum shared it . Then we went to see the sheep there was a lot of them. After that I went to see the wool that was shorn off the sheep and put in to boxes. then I saw Sonia and Filip then me, Sonia, Filip, Karolina, mum and Kerry went in the hall. There was a room that you could sit down in. Sonia had her burger in there. Then Honor came by. me, Honor, mum and Kerry had a ice cream. but I was not very hungry so I ate the flake out of mums. Then it was time to go home.

An Amazing Yell Show
On Saturday I went to the Yell Show the Yell Show is agricultural show. There were activities to do like lucky dip, tombola, hook a duck, the bottle stall , needle in the hay stack and there was a ball pool. There was an ice cream van called Mr Stripey he sold ice cream and slushys. I had a waffle cone with chocolate on the top and stripey ice cream and a fudge stick it was yummy, later on I had a slushy it was yummy. At the end of the day I had an ice cream with a plain cone with plain ice cream and a fudge stick . I won first prize and best in children’s knitting for my knitted mermaid which I am very proud of. Last year I won reserve best childrens knitting and I got a trophy, my sister Lucy got best in children’s knitting but this year I won it, yay! There were other things to eat like barbecued foods, fish and chips and Candyfloss. Me and Abby (who is my cousin ) played in the ball pool and I got stuck in the balls it very hard to get out of the ball pool. I got a balloon with Merida on it since there were no weights left I had to tie it round my hand at the end of the day we collected all of our stuff and went home.

Yell Show
On the 1st Saturday of September, there is a show in Yell, called The Yell Show. Its been happening for over 60 years. It happens every year in the East Yell. You can enter livestock, paintings, knitting, Hamma beads, vegetables, cakes and biscuits. There is judges that come round and judge the different categories.
In school, we dug up some vegetables to enter in. We entered in carrots, lettuce, beetroots, peas, potatoes and leeks. We got 1st for the beetroot, lettuces and leeks, 2nd beetroot, lettuces and 3rd we got carrots.
I entered a 3D Hamma bead VW Campervan, a painting of flowers (inspired by Elizabeth Blackadder), two pictures that I took (one of them was a sunset, and the other was of baby starlings.
I got first prize for my 3D campervan and well done for my painting.
Me and my mum went, we saw loads of sheep, ponies and dogs, in small pens. I saw my neighbors pony called Ellie, she is a small brown Shetland pony. Me and mum went round three big sheds, jammed packed full of things that people have made, loads of them had red labels (which mean 1st). In one of the sheds, was a small place where you could sit down, we met up with my nan and her friend Pauline. We went around the sheds and saw loads of baking entries. Then me and mum went to Mr Stripy (an ice cream van) and bought one screwball (for me) and one plain ice cream.

At the Weekend
On Saturday we went to Lerwick. We went to the co-op and I got a The Simpsons book in the book the cat was on Homer face. Then we went to the Fish and Chips shop. Neil and me had sausage and chips and Leah had fish and chips. It was delicious. Then we went to Tesco. I saw a 3ds games. When we went home I played on the Wii I played New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Mario’s powers in the game are Fire, ice, penguin and propeller Mario. Leah and Neil made a Lego house.
On Sunday I played New Super Mario Bros. 2 on 3ds and you can get in the game fire, Golden Mario, raccoon and white raccoon. I read at my Nintendo book. Dad played Mario kart on the Wii. Leah, Neil and I played catchy outside. I saw Dad cutting the our old couch in the garage. In the Afternoon Dad, Leah, Neil and I Walked to our granddads. We walked slowly.

We went to Lerwick on Saturday. We went to the co- op mum bought me a book it is called Horrible Histories it is a good book. Then we went on the street to get our fish and chips. I ate it all up it was yummy. Then we went to Tesco we bought food and Neil got a silver car. We went back home. I made a Lego house it was a very good Lego house.

The Super Yell Show
The night be for the yell show I got to go on the truck whith fish and chips in it. The next morning I went to the animals bit of the show, Our rabbit Honey was there she didn’t get a pries because she was int the program. they are a duck what was puffy wen you get close to him he gets angry. I wanted to have candy floss it was so yummy so I had three. then I went over to the fish and chips for a fish and chips truck, I had a cone of chips with salt and tomato ketchup. Then I went to go and sea the rams they were a 3 horn sheep. Then we went home my little sister got a squidgy tomato.

Yell Show 2013
The Yell Show was Saturday the 7th September. I entered cakes, a minion made of Hamma beads and I did a picture. Then I went into the game shed. In the game shed there was a lucky dip and two stalls called tombola. At the stall tombola I won a blue coloured bird. In the lucky dip there were no more girls prizes so I got told to go in the boys one I got a pull back insect then there were more girls prizes then I got a game snakes and ladders. I was hungry so was everyone else in my family so I got sausage and chips. My mum entered a jar of rhubarb jam so we went to look at that.
