When it is the time of year when the leaves start to go orangey kind of colour. The leaves falls off the trees. The animals hunt for food for winter. They harvest some tatties and sometimes turnips too. At Halloween they dress up as scary characters .

This morning we had two ladies from the National Library of Scotland. They were called Veronica and Beverly and they came to talk about maps. The younger ones looked at a map book called My Map Book by Sara Fanelli and then made their own maps. Us older ones made a giant map of our classroom and then after we hid pencil sharpeners and rubbers for the younger ones to find. We drew x marks the spot on the map so that it was easier for the younger group to find. It was really fun drawing the map.

Once there was a girl called Phoebe. Phoebe was a very sporty. One day she was really excited for P.E., because it was rounder’s. She loved it so much she forgot her P.E. kit! Thankfully, she was wearing clothes that she could wear to P.E., but her shoes were not suitable. When she was playing she was a very important moment and her shoe fell off! She fell and all you heard was a thud……but under the earth there was a……….salmon!? The salmon was swimming is his massive house and all he heard was a thud! But what happened next?

On Thursday we did baking for Macmillan Coffee Morning. I learned 6 oz is about 180 grams and 2 oz is about 60g and 4 oz. Miss Breyley split us up into groups. Kerry and I were in a group, Honor and Bradley were in a group, P4 and P5 were in a group and P3 and down were in a group. Kerry and I made custard biscuits, Honor and Bradley made chocolate truffles, P4 and P5 made chocolate cookies and P3 and down made cupcakes. At the end of Macmillan Miss Breyley said we baked the best we had ever done and I agreed because I think I baked really well too. After everyone came and went we had to collect up all the money. All together we raised £342.

The Platypus’s Wonder
The Platypus wanders out his home and has a swim. He whispers to himself, “I wonder what is under the earth?” A second after his parents called today, “Is the day you will lay an egg!” “Wow, I forgot about that!” platypus said as he sprang to the side.” Come and lay your egg dear!” a voice came again. He went to lay his egg but suddenly when he started lay the egg it started to sink into the ground and it was gone. Platypus tried to catch it but under the earth it was already in the earth’s core.

Once they were a girl called Sonia and she had a dog called Shelly. They went on amazing journeys and had loads of fun but under the earth they were a boy called Bradley. He was lonely and he wanted a dog but he never got one. Then Sonia flew to bottom of the earth. They were at the mall and Sonia was running and then she ran into Bradley. Then they went to Starbursts the coffee shop and then Bradley when to Sonia’s house and Bradley loved her dog and then ever since then they met up every day.

One day there was a little girl called Riley who really wanted to go to dance school but she did swimming and she has been doing swimming for quite a while and her mum said that she should do that until she finishes. I was chasing my sister around the garden, us laughing and stumbling because we were dizzy. It was a sunny day, everyone outside it all seemed normal. Suddenly there was a yell “GIRLS!” it was their mother. “You have to get new stuff for school” said their mother. So they reluctantly got into the car they drove to the mall. But under the earth the ground shook, the underground pixies determined to find food for their queen. They wanted children. So groups of pixies flew up from the ground children disappearing by the minute. Suddenly, my sister screamed and then…………..

I travelled to Paris yesterday. I was told about a legend, the legend of the leg haired flowerpot which came from the land of pots. But it didn’t always have leg hair. It travels late at night in search for legs, brilliant legs. Legs from manikins of course, store owners are worried. Can he get through locked doors? My Dad just opened a clothes store filled with manikins. I am worried. That night I stayed at the store cleaning. Then it came! I heard a thump, thump, thump. I saw it at the locked door.
