Burravoe Primary School

Our Visitors

This morning we had two ladies from the National Library of Scotland. They were called Veronica and Beverly and they came to talk about maps. The younger ones looked at a map book called My Map Book by Sara Fanelli and then made their own maps. Us older ones made a giant map of our classroom and then after we hid pencil sharpeners and rubbers for the younger ones to find. We drew x marks the spot on the map so that it was easier for the younger group to find. It was really fun drawing the map.

  1. Hello Veronica,
Thank you for your nice comment! We enjoyed going around the exhibition, we liked the surveyors’ tools; we were surprised by the good condition of the maps; its hard to believe they were made so many years ago.

  2. Hello Honor,
I was so pleased to see the photos and your report of our visit to Burravoe Primary School. Beverley and I had great time and enjoyed meeting you all. We’re really impressed by your blog and all the interesting things you do at school.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome you gave us.
Enjoy your visit to the James Robertson exhibition. We’ll look forward to reading all about it on the blog!

    Thanks again,

  3. Thank you for writing about this Honor. We were so lucky to have this visit!
