On Wednesday we went on a school trip to the museum we looked a some geology and early man. some of the rocks there were really smooth and some of them weren’t so smooth. The early man bit was interesting as well because there was spears and the bit that was the handle was a stick and the sharp bit was made out of rock that looked like crystals. Also in the early man bit I saw some bowls and a little stone age house.

On Saturday the 15th we swam on the 08:15 ferry and then we went to Sumburgh airport. We flew to Glasgow airport we got there about 12:00. But we had to wait for our plane which was at 20:45! It was quite a while but we just went round shops and tried our best to wait, finally the gate number showed up on the board, the gate number was… 28. We were flying to Poznań with the Wizz Air lines. When we arrived in Poznań we got a taxi, and drove to a hotel in Poznań, because it was to far to granny’s house. The hotel was very posh, when you looked on the left, there were two chairs which looked like thrones. When we woke up we looked at the breakfast menu , I had Polish breakfast, My dad choose French breakfast , and my brother Filip had Fitness breakfast (which was cereals), when we finished our breakfast we took a taxi and drove to the Poznań train station. Our train was at 12:45, we looked and looked for a play area for us to play in, finally we found one you had to pay for it but dad let us, it was so fun! Later on the train we sat and looked at the view outside through the window, it was all very quiet, until the conductor lady came she inspected our tickets and asked me for my card from my Polish internet School, because we bought a ticket that you had to show with the card, but we realised that it was the wrong one, the paper one that I had at home was the right one, but it got sorted. Then we walked all the way to granny’s house, and ate lunch. When we finished we walked to dads old school and played in the playground. We came back to granny’s house and went to sleep. On Monday afternoon we went to grandad’s house with his car. While my dad and grandad went shopping me, my brother and granny were crazy killing flies. Tuesday was very rainy so we would not be able to walk anywhere. Then after lunch we decided to go to the swimming pool. I went to the pool with dad, my brother, granny and grandad, granny can’t swim so she stayed on the side of the pool. The swimming pool had one small river it went extremely fast, there was a huge water fountain you could go inside it, and there were two more smaller fountains that were so strong that they could push an adult over! there was a very quick and swirly slide as well, and a relaxing warm bubble pool, as well as a deep pool but the water was freezing! It was so fun in the pool. Then the next day grandad took us to a play area in Leszno. there was loads of slides attached to the climbing frame which was enormous, there was loads of machines to play games on but dad said we coudn’t use any money,and there was loads more. It was so fun as well. On Friday we had lunch and we drove back to granny’s. On Saturday I went to watch Storks with granny and my brother, the cinema was in Poland, and the film was in Polish. I really liked the film it was fantastic. On Sunday we went to a forest and picked a lot of mushrooms with my uncle, in the forest I found a ladybird inside the basket, I picked it up and carried it for a while then when we were getting near,to the car I put down the ladybird on a leaf. On Monday afternoon we drove back to grandad’s, then I walked to a forest near to grandad’s house with dad, my brother and granny. In the forest we saw some real horses, we did a circuit round the forest and we met grandad with his car waiting to pick us up, then we drove together with grandad to another forest and there we picked mushrooms, it was so fun picking mushrooms and finding them. The next day we were on the plane to fly home.

In the Shetland Museum there was the Littoral Art exhibition, that Julia did for us. We tested samples, and drew pictures of the islands made out of litter.

Leona and Pippy’s Big Dream
Once upon a time there was two TY Beanies, one was called Leona and the other was called Pippy. One night they slept so long that they missed five days of breakfast and five days of school and five days of LUNCH!! Or maybe they were just dreaming. The next night they went to the beach, there was a giant sea monster in the sea but they thought it was a piece of really large odd seaweed. They swam to the seaweed and when they got there they tried to pull it up but instead it pulled them down under the water, they got tangled in the sea monsters tentacles, but then they started to see light it was shaped like an end of a tail and then they saw that the light was spinning round and round faster and faster till it hit the sea monster. They realized that the tail belonged to a mermaid, the mermaid told them her name was Bella then they became friends. But then they heard their mum calling them to wake up for school, so they quickly got breakfast and went to school.
On their way home from school there was a beach not far away from their house and they noticed a little splash in the water and they knew that it was Bella because they saw the light on her tail, maybe it wasn’t a dream after all.

In the October holidays it was my birthday and I turned 9. The biggest thing I got be far was a bike. I also got some Lego to make a private jet and you can put Lego men in it. For lunch Phoebe, my Mum, my Dad, Abby and I went to L J’s which is a restaurant I had a beef burger and it was very filling. For my birthday I got a nail art kit, a flower hair band, a bracelet that said Rosie on it from Abby and some pyjamas also from Abby. Before my birthday we went to Aberdeen for a day and we went in to Union square, Saint Nicholas square and Trinity Centre, and in one of the shopping centres we found Miss smith. On the way there on the boat it was fine but on the back it was horrible Because it was really rough but I wasn’t sick. My cake wasn’t really a cake instead of the cake bit it was marshmallow to hold the marshmallow cake bits together it was marshmallow and sweeties on top I didn’t like it, but Phoebe did.

It was late and Ava sat alone staring at the last of the sunlight fading from the sky. She unwrapped a chocolate bar and took a small nibble as she did she pulled the noisy wrapper back over the chocolate bar. “I will save the rest for later” she said to herself. Small footsteps were sneaking up the stairs. “Hello?” she called but no reply.
She put on her slippers that always sat beside her bed and creeped along the floor. She pulled open the door and creeped down the 3 sets of stairs to the kitchen. She got a massive knife and creeped back upstairs.
Heavy footsteps were coming down the stairs. She tucked into the old study bearing her knife in her small scratched hand. She was shivering a shadow lurched around the door. She stuck the knife out as soon as she saw a green hand.
She heard groans and left the study looking at what she had just stabbed. She pulled it up the stairs by the collar on the monster’s shirt. She dragged it into the spare bedroom, opened the cupboard doors and threw the zombie into the pile of dead people. She then shut the doors and locked them twice.
It was 4:30 AM Ava got up and got dressed. She went in the spare room and picked up the wardrobe and took it out the front door. She tied it on top of the car and went to get breakfast she took a packet of candy corns into the car and drove to the prison.
Once she arrived she opened the front door of the prison and went to reception. The lady at the desk was sleeping because it was 5 AM, she took the cell keys and unlocked the cell stopping any of the public getting in. She unlocked each prisoners cell letting them follow her out the front door and into the wardrobe.
She took them to her house told them they would be safe on 1 condition. They worked for her, helping her take over the world and get rid of these bodies. Anyone who failed to do so would get stabbed unexpectedly. 1 by 1 the criminals dropped like flies. Her house was dead body heaven. But was this the end for Ava?

On Wednesday we wrote stories. You could do about your October holidays or an imaginative story. I chose to do an imaginative story. It was about a girl who went to the Olympics. Here is my story.
Can’t talk right now. Running away from………BANG! Where am I? Never mind I’ll just get some food. I’m hungry; well I’m always hungry. I don’t know where the food is; this is a DISASTER! So, I found where the food was but I also found out where I am. You guys won’t believe this but I think I’m in a 1,000 storey tree-house. My favourite parts of the tree-house are the candy-floss machine, the drawing room, the dance studio, a recording area, a foam pit and the gymnasium. If I had to pick one of them, then I would choose the gymnasium. I love gymnastics. One day I dream of becoming an elite gymnast and winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Oh, the doorbell just rang, better go answer it. “Hello Ellie, are you ready to catch your flight to Rio?” asked a man who looked a bit like Lewis Smith. “Sorry what? Who are you?” I asked amazed. “I’m your team mate Lewis and are you ready to compete at the Olympics in Rio?” he asked sounding very shocked. “Um I think so I’m nearly ready” I lied. I’m only a level 5 gymnast so I don’t know how I’m going to win the Olympics without completely humiliating myself. I need at least another 5 years before I could even think about going to the Olympics. Oh, no what my I going to do? I got in the car with Lewis Smith, Amy Tinkler and Ruby Harrold. In another car, there was my sis Becky Downie, Max Whitlock and a load of other gymnasts. We got to Rio and the atmosphere was amazing. We went straight to the gymnasium. It was HUGE! I was on floor first. Before I went on Lewis said to me “Are you ready to do you specialty? Your double back and your triple twist” Can I do those things? I guess I can. The crowd are cheering me on. I’ve just come off and I did amazingly. I don’t know how but they just said I’m the floor champion! Where am I? Oh, I’m back at my house again laying on the sofa. I guess it was all a dream. Or was it?

We all learned about Early Man In Scotland. I did a book about the Bronze Age.
A few things I could improve.
I could make the writing a bit smaller so it actually fits in the book.
I could not hurry so much and check for the right spelling.
But apart from that I think I did very well with making the book, because I hardly needed no help!

Today we did a Macmillan Coffee Morning that P6-7 organized. Lots of people came and gave donations. We raised £357.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you so much if you came and donated.
