Languages 1+2 Resource Kit
A complete 1+ 2 resource kit is available on Schoolhouse to support the delivery of 1Plus2. This includes:
L2 language Progression Planners and Support packs in French and German (P1 to P7)
L3 support resources in Spanish, Scots, Polish, Mandarin, German and Gaelic
Planning support resources : Includes planning for L2, L3 and specific advice such as working with composite groups
Full package of pre-recorded CLPL short courses in French and Spanish
Free trial period for SBC has now ended. Renewal beyond the free trial period is not automatic. Any subscriptions thereafter can be completed manually by the user.
The site includes songs, digital games, teaching videos and learning and teaching activities. Activities include planners, downloadable support resources, and guidance on developing learning.
Gaelic
If you would like to learn the basics of Gaelic, SBLearn has a link to a series of online modules. To access please visit SBLearn and log in. When you are logged in enter gaelic in the search box at the top of the page and select the Gaelic (Scottish) module tab.
Introduction to British Sign Language
An introduction to the BSL 1+2 pack and its contents. Staff will be given the opportunity to explore resources and plan how it can be used in their setting.
Aims – to become familiar with BSL 1+2 pack. To feel more confident in the delivery of BSL. Opportunity for professional dialogue and questions around BSL. To become more deaf aware in your practice.
Target Audience – all interested staff
