Professional Learning

Research Schools is a programme that provides support for your school improvement plan through an enquiry based approach.

Any school or Early Learning and Childcare setting within SEIC can apply to become a Research School. You should be able to demonstrate a culture of high quality collegiate professional learning and a willingness and capacity for improvement through an enquiry approach. Research Schools may already have some experience and evidence of engaging with research in practice but this is not a requirement.  Schools/ELC settings interested in applying to be a Research School should discuss their capacity and application evidence with the relevant line manager before submitting the application to be endorsed by their Head of Service.
