The National Model of Professional

As education professionals you engage in professional learning to stimulate your thinking. Through professional learning you can ensure your practice is critically informed and up-to-date.

The model describes the main principles and features of effective learning. These can help to build capacity and promote collaborative practices.

Educating Borders Podcast

Educating Borders is a podcast by Scottish Borders Council all about the latest goings on in and around schools in our region. We’ll be sharing news and information about education in the Scottish Borders, including the latest developments in schools, professional learning opportunities and interviews with education specialists within and beyond the Borders.

Hosted every fortnight during term time by Roddy Graham, Lead Teacher of Inspire Learning, our aim is to connect you to the people and ideas that are changing education across the Scottish Borders.
