At Girvan Primary School we have a Rights Respecting School pupil led steering group made up of pupil representatives who strive and work hard, in collaboration with their peers, school staff and wider community, to help us develop as a Rights Respecting School.  This year we hope to achieve our Silver Rights Respecting School accreditation.

All classes within the school have a class charter which focuses on the school aims to be Ready, Respectful and Safe.  The RRS pupil led steering group are working hard this year to continually update the RRS information wall and common area charters to help embed children’s rights across the school.  Our new whole school health and wellbeing program – PATHs, nurture approaches and areas, virtual assemblies and rights planners are just some of the fantastic ways the RRS group and school staff are striving to embed rights across the school.
