Pupils in primary 5 and 6 take part in Bikeability to support and develop the next generation of confident and responsible road users. Primary 5 pupils complete Bikeability Scotland Level 1 training followed by Level 2 training in Primary 6.
Qualified school staff and parent helpers lead practical bike sessions. Once the basic manoeuvres have been mastered in Level 1 in the safe environment of the playground, pupils apply their skills on the roads around the school during Level 2 training.
Following a pause in our delivery of Bikeability training, it is hoped that in session 23-24 we are able to deliver level 1 to all primary 6 and 7 learners and level 2 to all primary 7 learners.
If you are interested in supporting the delivery of Bikeability, please contact the school.
