Primary 7L – Mrs Lynch

We hope you enjoy exploring our school website.

Our class teacher is Mrs Lynch. Our class assistant are Mrs Crossan. We have an incredibly busy year ahead of us.

Please browse our page to find out the type of activities we do throughout the year.

Literacy

We will continue to build on skills in all areas. We are using “The Write Stuff” as our writing programme and we are gaining confidence. The writing we are producing is amazing and we are enjoying learning new strategies and skills.

We do daily reading in class and take part in the Accelerated Reader programme. We look at all aspects of reading and are becoming more skilled when looking at higher order thinking.

We have the opportunity to talk and listen in groups and present information and other ideas to the class.

Numeracy and Maths

We will continue to build on skills in all areas. We do mental math every day and learn new strategies and skills to help us with calculations. We visit Ms Wilson who is our Numeracy and Maths co-ordinator once a week and pupils have opportunities to develop skills through Rapid Maths.

Health and Wellbeing

We have P.E twice a week and try to do the Daily Mile on the days we do not have P.E. We have daily check ins to see how we are feeling and we have the opportunity to take part in groups to enhance our Health and Wellbeing, such as: Bikeability, Youth Music Initiative, Active Schools, Junior Coaching Academy, healthy eating workshops and much more!

Other Interesting Information

In Primary 7 we all have a responsibility within the school which is our job. To get the job we would like, we must apply for it and go through the interview process. Everyone in the class has a job which we take very seriously. In our IDL work this year, we will cover the Vikings, Enterprise, WW2 and look forward to visiting Dolphin House Outdoor and Residential Centre for four days in March.
