We are looking forward to sharing our exciting experiences and learning with you over the year before we move up to secondary school.

This term, in Numeracy, we are focusing on place value, rounding and estimating and decimal numbers.

In Literacy, we are following ‘The Write Stuff’ programme which helps to develop our writing skills by improving our vocabulary and sentence structure among many other writing strategies. We will also be doing a Novel Study this term looking at the book ‘A Long Walk to Water’.

Over the course of the year, we will look at four different topics for our cross-curricular work. They are Africa, Charities, Castles and Enterprise. So far, we have looked into African art, tribes and safaris. Our current science topic is Electricity and during term 1 we are learning about Basketball and Gymnastics in PE.
