Primary 1 engaged with the outdoors on Monday, collecting materials to create this maze. We learned about directions and positional language, all based around Alice in Wonderland. #MWSREN @AttainRen

P7 Maths Week Disney Challenge
@AttainRen #MWSNREN
Primary 7 pupils were celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday as part of Maths Week. They planned a trip for both P7 teachers to go to Disneyland. The children were a given budget and had to calculate the overall cost. As part of this the children also had to justify their choices and explain what was a need versus a want.
P4 Money week
We have been learning how much it costs to look after a dog. A big thanks to Gemma from Dogs Trust!
P7 Open Afternoon
Open evening for P7 at Castlehead.
Primary One Parental Survey
Primary One pupils have settled well into Wallace Primary School. It would be greatly appreciated if parents/carers of Primary One pupils could take a few minutes to complete the Nursery to Primary One Transition Survey. All feedback will allow us to make further improvements for the future. Many thanks.

Lost Water Bottle Lid
Primary 1
A blue water bottle lid has been found. Miss Johnston will take care of it until tomorrow when it can be reunited with it’s Ladybird owner, so don’t worry.
P7 Talking about maths
Primary 7 were asked to show their understanding of rounding by having a go at being the teacher! Each group were given a statement and they were asked to explain the answer to the rest of the class. Â They had to think carefully about their explanations to ensure the rest of the class understood. Â It was great to hear all of the different strategies and explanations and we had a brilliant discussion around the different questions.Â
Meet The Teacher
Here is a copy of the slides from Wednesday’s “Meet The Teacher”. Thanks to all those who attended.
Outside Learning
It has been lovely to welcome the children back into Primary 2 and start to get to know them. The children are starting to learn new routines and are settling in well.
We are looking forward to meeting parents and carers at ‘Meet the Teacher’ tomorrow evening (Wednesday 29th August at 5pm). If parents are working and grandparents are usually at the door – feel free to come along we would love to meet you too!
Making the most of the dry weather today we ventured out into the wildlife garden complete with our clipboards to search for a variety of items found in nature. We spotted several signs of a coming seasonal change and we will post photos once annual data forms are returned.
