Our aim in Social Studies is essentially concerned with, ‘the study of how people live and adapt to their environments in different places and at different times.’ It is also concerned with assisting the pupils in acquiring the knowledge and skills to help them make sense of their own and other environments.

Within Social Studies, children will learn about

• people, past events and societies
• people, place and environment
• people in society, economy and business.
