Hello everyone, as you will know due to COVID the Mini Vinnies haven’t been able to take place this year. However on Sunday the 7th of February it is the feast of the Blessed Rosalie Rendu, who was a main part in starting up The Society of St Vincent de Paul. I have attached below a powerpoint which tells you all about Rosalie Rendu’s life. She was a caring nun who gave her time and talents to help the poor and sick. I am hoping that during these difficult times we can be inspired by Rosalie Rendu. I would like you to make a little booklet/story of her life talking about how she grew up and all the amazing things she has done to help others.
You do not have to be a Mini Vinnie to take part, anyone is welcome to join our Online Mini Vinnies!
The Mini Vinnie’s have been working on a top secret project over the past few months! They have been learning to sew and they have been making Christmas Decorations for some of our parishioners in St Fergus.
We invited some of the parishioners and Fr John to join us for a festive Christmas Tea and to gift them some decorations and cards.
Some of our Mini Vinnie’s even entertained us with some musical performances.
We wish you all a very happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Father John had the great honour of speaking at the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 20th November.
Father delivered a wonderful reflection about young people and St. Fergus’ even got a mention!!
His reflection ended with a thought of us encouraging our children to grasp the possibilities of tomorrow. This is a thought that we do daily in St Fergus’.
