This series of resources builds on the knowledge, expertise and practices already in place as a result of Renfrewshire’s Nurturing Relationships Approach (RNRA) and trauma-informed approaches across Renfrewshire. These skills and practices are exactly those that will support wellbeing of staff, children and young people and parents during recovery and return.

Nurturing Wellbeing to Build Back Better: Skills for Recovery

Skills for Recovery full resource

Skills for Recovery is a Renfrewshire resource developed based on the ‘Nurturing Wellbeing to Build Back Better’ resources in partnership with the Health and Wellbeing Development Team. It provides practical help for all staff, pupils (P6-S6) and parents in the first 6 weeks after the return to establishments. Skills for Recovery guides participants through weekly themes around dealing with change, understanding and naming our feelings, relationships, bouncing back and signposting to supports within the authority. Staff wellbeing is a significant focus of this resource.

You can find the multi-media version of this resource on Renfrewshire’s Health and Wellbeing Blog here: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/re/renfrewshirehwb/skills-for-recovery/
