Further to our homework post this week I would like to add that Read and Munch will be on Thursday this week (with P3W as normal) to allow us to swap to new reading buddies. However it will also take place on Friday with P6A for World Book Day.
Thank you once again for all your hard work and help on Friday for our special visit from residents at Erskine care home.
Please note a couple of changes for this week. Reading munch will be changed to Friday to tie in with World Book Day.
Please allow your child to come to school on Friday with their favourite book so we can discuss them for World Book Day. Friday will also be an own clothes day.

Throughout the next two weeks children will be helping to sell Fairtrade products at our Fairtrade tuckshop at playtimes. . As well as selling the products, your child will be able to purchase these too; all items will be £1.
On Tuesday we have a group coming in called Rainbow Turtle to give us a workshop on all things Fairtrade.
On Friday we are having a very special visit from some residents at the Erskine Care home. We will be spending time with them, playing games and singing with them. After our visit we will be having a Fairtrade tea party within the class. As part of our Maths learning in school we have been learning about measure, in particular weight. As a fun optional homework task we kindly ask that you share in your child’s learning at home by baking a Fairtrade item and bringing it to school on Friday for our tea party. This is optional, but would be a lovely experience for the children if it is at all possible.
Please see the other homework below.
Many thanks,
Mrs Kane and P2K.

At the weekend Mrs Kane had a very exciting visitor arrive at her house. Obi the Orangutan has come over from his Rainforest home to help us with our learning. Over the next few weeks Obi will be visiting your homes and go on many exciting adventures. Obi has asked that the night that we have him home, if we could write a diary entry in his jotter, telling all of the exciting things we managed to do together. You could also add some photographs or draw a lovely picture at the top. As this is an extra unexpected – but very exciting – task for our homework, we could leave out 1 other piece of homework for that week to make it easier to complete.
Please also see the grid below for other homework for this week. Again please do not panic if you have had a visit from Obi this week and have not been able to complete other allocated homework. Any questions please feel free to ask the children or Mrs Kane.
Thanks,
Mrs Kane and P2K

We hope you are all enjoying our Nativity performances and looking forward to the holidays.
Just a reminder that our P2 Christmas party is on Wednesday 19th December at 1:15pm. Due to the Nativity performances and rehearsals, we kindly ask that your child still comes to school in their school uniform, with their party outfit in a carrier bag.
We are looking forward to enjoying the rest of the week and finishing at 2:30pm on Friday.
Have a fun and restful holiday and we will see you all in 2019.
Not long until the holidays now and as you can probably guess Nativity fever has hit!
This week we also have some fun events coming up.
Thursday brings our Christmas Lunch. Please ensure that if you have not returned your child’s lunch slip, that they bring a packed lunch to school. P2 children are entitled for a free school lunch, so please remember that no money is required.
Also Friday in Christmas jumper day, with a suggested donation of £1.
I would also like to say a personal thank you for everyone’s effort and imagination for our castles home learning task. Our castles were amazing, so much so that everyone from the school popped in for a look! Thank you!
As the holidays are fast approaching, this will be our final week of homework for 2018.
