Wow! Can you believe that we are in 2017 already! It is true what they say, time flies when you are having fun. I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing break – I know I did thanks to all the wonderful gifts and Christmas well wishes I received at the end of last term! A huge thank you to everyone for their kindness and generosity.
For homework tonight Primary 3/4 have –

spelling words + sentences
mental maths
Please ensure that spelling words and sentences are being completed on a Monday. Reading books in class are now being issued on different days for each group. Please check your child’s diary for their reading book and pages each night.
One more reminder – all P.E kits were sent home at the end of last term. Please ensure they are returned tomorrow.
We had a fantastic time at our Eco day. We learned lots about sustainability and helped to tidy our playground. A big thank you to Mrs Reston and the committees involved.

A great day was had by everyone today at our House Day!
The children started the day with some house team activities where they worked in their houses to come up with a team chant!!
Miss Harvey and Mrs Cunningham had BEARDMORE rapping like Honey G! OLD GREENOCK had an energetic cheer with a dance routine, Mrs MacKinnon and Mrs Retson were leading the way with their dance skills!
Well done to INDIA for their team chant with actions, Mrs Smith and Miss Arthurs had their house working in a wonderful team circle. LUCKINSFORD were accompanied by Mr Wilkie on the guitar and he and Miss Buchan lead them in a new house song!!
At 2.15pm the children got back together for a house party! There was movie fun, outside games, party games and lots more! A great day enjoyed by all pupils and staff!
Come in your own clothes and pay £1! You may wear your house colours if you wish!
The morning will start with house activities and team building. During the day each class will visit the I am me cine bus and enjoy an important HWB lesson through the programmes they are shown.
At 11.45am we will have CITIZENSHIP groups where all pupils will go to their committee.
At 2.15pm we will have golden time in our houses!
