We used trundle wheels to measure the perimeters of different areas within our playground.

Our Achievements

We have had a very busy week.

We are enjoying reading our novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which helped us a lot when auditioning for a part in our summer show.

We also started our new topic ‘Willy Wonka’s Wonders’ where we will be looking at inventions and maybe even doing some inventing ourselves!

After all our hard work this term we are looking forward to our Easter holidays.

P.O.L.O Day

Today Primary 4-7 have been taking part in a Power Off Learning Outdoors Day.

Our first activity was an obstacle course.  We had to link arms and pass the hula hoop without letting go of each other.  It was great fun!

Floating and Sinking

Primary Five have been investigating items that float and sink.

We found that a paperclip when placed in water will sink but something as a big as a boat can float.  We decided to investigate why this happens.

We took a ball of plastisine and placed it on the water and found that it sank.

Next we took the plasticine and rolled it flat.  When we placed it on the water we were surprised to see it float.
