Today Primary 5 were learning about creating stop-motion animations. They had to carefully plan, organise and sequence events to solve problems and complete challenges. They started by using whiteboards and pens then moved on to using characters.

Homework 28.11.17
Well done to all those who handed in their homework on time this week, it was really interesting reading about your hopes and dreams for the future – good job!
Literacy
This week, our spelling words are:
- January
- February
- March
- April
- May
- June
- July
- August
- September
- October
- November
- December
When copying the words into your jotter, please try and join your writing (and remember your capital letters!).
Secondly, read a newspaper article and write a summary in your jotter describing what it was about. Remember I will not have read the article so think about what you would need to tell me in order for me to understand what the article was about.
The article could either be from a printed newspaper or you could use an online article (a good idea would be to look on the BBC Newsround website).

Just a reminder to say that Primary 5 have an additional two weeks of swimming starting tomorrow. Pupils will need to bring their swimming kit and their normal gym kit. Children are also asked to either order a snack to go from the school cafeteria in the morning, or bring a packed lunch.

Maths:
We have been revising multiplication as an extra activity this week. An excellent game is to be found on Topmarks called ‘Hit the Button’. We are moving on to practising the 2, 4 and 8 times table, so it would be a good idea to focus on these three when you are playing. The Active Learn site has been experiencing some technical difficulties and is not working at the moment. You may still play on Sumdog.
