P1 Paddingtons

As part of the outright campaign primary 1 children designed Paddington Bears in a nice clear air environment using the Paint programme.

PAG Takeover

The Pupil Action Group planned and delivered an amazing assembly for Children’s takeover day. They planned games, organised resources, set a house quiz and an amazing interactive Powerpoint not to mention preparing songs to sing.

Children In Need

The boys in girls at school and nursery have been taking part in Children in Need activities all day today.   They have been learning how money raised by Children in Need helps children that need it the most.

We also participated in a house assembly full of singing and children’s challenges!

 

Remembrance Day

Boys and girls in primary 5 and 6/7 have been learning all about Remembrance day. They learned the importance of remembering the brave men, women and children who refused to give in and decided to stand up for their right to choose, to live and to be free.

Active –

Article 17: You have the right to get information that is important to your well-being, from radio, newspaper, books, computers and other sources. Adults should make sure that the information you are getting is not harmful, and help you find and understand the information you need.

Article 4: The government has a responsibility to make sure your  rights are protected. They must help your family to protect your rights and create an environment where you can grow and reach your potential.

 

Outright Session 1

Children decided what pictures would help them stay healthy, would reduce current levels of pollution and what cause pollution.

Primary 6 sports Leaders

Primary 6 are learning how to be sport leaders. They are participating in training with our active school coordinator. Soon they will be in our playground playing games with the younger children in our school teaching them how to be kind, share and respect each other.

Primary 6 Vice house Captains

A massive well done to our new primary 6 vice house captains. They had to showcase their skills and abilities and present to the whole school. It was a difficult choice… but well done to our successful primary 6s.

Responsible – Article 15: You have the right to choose your own friends and join or set up groups, as long as it isn’t harmful to others.

 

Top Tasters

Pupils from all stages of the school enjoyed 6 weeks of menu tasting for our new winter menu. Giving feedback on what they liked, what they enjoyed and how it could be made better. Yum!

Pupil Voice – The Playground

Children discussed they types of equipment and games they would like to have in the playground. Thinking about equipment that can be shared and used by lots of pupils in the school.
