Primary 4 – Robert Burns Assembly

This week Primary 4 showcased their work on Scotland’s national poet.  They described his life and works and explained his importance within the Scottish context.  They sang songs and presented very well.

 

Nurture: Article 8 – You have the right to an identity – an official record of who you are.  No one should take this away from you.

 

Global Goals Primary 6 Superheroes

Primary 6 were learning today about Global Goals.   They discussed the 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development.  If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.

Primary 6 designed comic book superheroes linked to global goals.  Their mission is to help end poverty, hunger and ensure gender equality.

Active: Article 17 – You have the right to get information that is important to your well-being, from radio, newspaper, books, computers and other sources. Adults should make sure that the information you are getting is not harmful, and help you find and understand the information you need.

 

 

Global Goals – Creating a clean, safe environment

Primary 7 have been learning all about the Global Goals.  They looked at different ways to create energy.  The categorised these power stations into two types (renewable and fossil fuel).  They followed up by creating fantastic models and information leaflets and presented them at assembly.  Informing the other children of the features linked to each type of station.

 

They are following up their learning with a Green City design project.  Mr Green can’t wait to see the innovative and imaginative designs.
