Red Nose Day Assembly and Active Day launch

The Pupil action group launched our Red Nose Day activities.  They created and presented an amazing assembly.  Showing others the impact money raised has on people in Africa and in our own communities.  Classes have been taking part in a Walking Challenge to West Africa.

The Pupil Action Group told three stories from three different people living in the West African country Sierra Leone and compared them to people living in Scotland.  The Pupil Action Group made this video to encourage people to have fun and help us raise money for a worthwhile cause.

Safe: Article 27- Children have the right to food, clothing and other basic needs.  Children should not face disadvantage because of their circumstances.

Red Nose Day Advert

some members of the Pupil Action Group created an advert for our Red Nose Active Learning Day.

Fairtrade Fortnight and the Pancake breakfast

A huge welldone to the boys and girls at Woodlands Primary School.  They have helped raise an amazing £336.33 for our Fairtrade fortnight.  The boys and girls(and Mr McMullan!) organised a tuck shop, Fairtrade raffle and pancake breakfast to help raise awareness and give farmers a fair deal.

Responsible: Article 36 – The right to protection from exploitation.
