Well done to the Junior Road Safety Officers with their great achievement at the JRSO awards!
Congratulations to our primary five winner of the North Lanarkshire Calendar competition. We had a special presentation at assembly yesterday with the Road Safety team to award the winning prize and highly commended certificates.
The Junior Road Safety Officers have been working on a ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ campaign. They spoke at assembly yesterday with special help from Ziggy our Road Safety friend. Today they went to visit the nursery to read a story about Road Safety.
They are also running a competition to design a bright outfit to be seen in during dark mornings or nights, which you can get from the JRSO noticeboard. There are also JRSO house points for anyone in bright, fluorescent or reflective outdoor clothing.
Today the Junior Road Safety Officers went to the JRSO induction day. They attended three workshops to help them with presentation skills, to learn Road Safety games and they had a talk and demonstration from Amey. It was very interesting.
